Sarah began her professional career in the medical field after graduating college. She worked at a busy primary care practice with 6 doctors, a nurse practitioner and various nurses, and medical support staff. As the Billing Coordinator, her focus was medical billing and coding, Workers’ Compensation, collections and working closely with many commercial insurance companies. She became proficient in Medicare and Medicaid and commercial insurance. After working in the field for 7 years and transitioning to ICD-10, Sarah decided it was time to move on and apply her skills and knowledge to pursue a new career. She began at Ohio State in 2015 as an Office Associate in the Northeast Regional office in Wooster at the OARDC. She worked primarily with the northeastern part of the state overseeing procurement, travel and various other program areas within Extension and has worked in conjunction with CFAES agricultural state specialists and Secrest Arboretum.
In 2017 Sarah transitioned her expertise as Fiscal Liaison for Extension as part of the newly developed Extension Operations unit. Sarah provides direct support to Extension county units for all finance related topics, travel, Cvent and asset management. She reports to the Director of Extension Operations.
