Leadership Notes

  1. Thank you once again for your steadfastness during this challenging time. We are seeing the COVID-19 numbers going up all over the U.S. and have seen some particularly troubling upward trending in Ohio.

  2. Starting in December, I will be offering open office hours every second Tuesday from 10am to noon. There will be 15-minute slots you can sign up for in advance (more details coming soon on how to schedule).

  3. The Extension Administrative Cabinet would love to make virtual visits to your counties.

  4. How are you feeling this week? In case you missed the Director’s update on Friday, November 6, we had a one-question pulse survey for all of OSU Extension.

COVID-19 Updates

  1. I have reached out to the college and we are awaiting updates from the university, given current circumstances. I will update you as soon as I hear something as soon as we know more. 

  2. The CDC has also released some new information on staying safe during holiday celebrations and small gatherings. Learn more here.

Tech Updates

  1. Open enrollment ends Sunday, Nov. 15 at 11:59pm. This is your final opportunity to make changes to your 2021 benefit elections using Employee Self Service.

Operations/Business of Extension

  1. To reduce your cost for health care and receive the full premium credit for 2021, complete a Personal Health and Well-Being Assessment (PHA) by December 14, at 11:59 p.m.

Professional Development Opportunities

  1. This interactive webinar will provide participants with an opportunity to delve into their social identities, a process that reveals how we all have and lack privilege simultaneously.

  2. The Task Force on Racism and Racial Inequities is seeking input from the university community to help identify big ideas and grand challenges to address racism and racial inequities.
