COVID-19 Updates

  1. KX has archived the COVID-19 Hub, a repository for CFAES research, information, and other links about COVID-19, including OSU Extension programs and resources.

College Connections

  1. The 2022 Annual Celebration of Research Week will be held April 11-15 and provide an opportunity to emphasize the many successes of the research community in CFAES.

  2. The Ohio 4-H Foundation will host its annual fundraiser this year on Thursday evening, October 2, at Leeds Farm in Ostrander.

  3. Check out several updates from the Knowledge Exchange.

Campus Connections/Partnerships

  1. At Innovate: Connect, we’ll discuss how to navigate the continuously changing education landscape while staying connected.

Programming Perspectives

  1. Ohio will conduct a grain safety demonstration on April 4, followed by a webcast of the national kick-off event for Grain Safety Week, starting at 8am in Cygnet, Ohio.

  2. OSU Extension is celebrating Earth Day this year with several activities and collaborations.

  3. The OSU Extension Sustainability Team has posted numerous resources you can share with county residents.

  4. The A Day in the Woods program series will be taking a close look at trees for the landscape on April 22, Earth Day. ​​​​​​​

  5. The Farm Office Team will be back on April 22 at 10 am, for the next installment of Farm Office Live.

  6. The 4-H Spark EXPO (Exploring Pathway Opportunities) is an exciting new opportunity for youth who have completed the eighth grade.

Award Opportunities/Reminders

  1. Faculty (all ranks and titles) and/or faculty-led teams are eligible to apply for several engagement grants.

  2. The Office of Outreach and Engagement is offering two grant opportunities for university staff.

Tech Updates

  1. CFAES has experts in the Grant Development Support Unit (GDSU) who can help provide some clarity about handling grants in Workday.

Operations/Business of Extension

  1. In the Office of Sponsored Programs, an interim sponsored program officer is currently assisting Extension personnel with grants and other funding awards.

  2. As the publishing arm of OSU Extension, Extension Publishing features the work of content creators from across the organization.

  3. CFAES field research safety training was held in early March. For those who could not attend, the recording is now available online.

Celebrating Colleagues

  1. Congratulations to our OSU Extension faculty and staff who received the inaugural college-level Extension awards earlier this month, as well as our Buckeye Years of Service honorees.

Professional Development Opportunities

  1. Join the Ohio JCEP professional development committee for a virtual networking event on April 6 at 9am.

  2. The Learning and Organizational Development eLearning team hosted digital accessibility trainings in February. Recordings of the trainings are now available.

  3. Check out this list of workshops hosted by the Leadership Center in April.

Extension Annual Conference

  1. The 2022 OSU Extension Annual Conference will be held on Dec. 5, 6, and 7 in the Columbus area.
