The North Central Leadership Conference (NCLC) is hosting a virtual check-in on May 19 (10 a.m.-noon) for all Extension professionals. The check-in will feature Christina Laridaen, a principal at Lewis-Burke Associates, a full-service government relations firm based in Washington DC. She will speak about the federal funding landscape and opportunities she sees for Extension at the national level. It will also include a Generative AI talk by John Parrish and his colleagues from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension. Their presentation aims to strengthen understanding of the opportunities and risks of deploying generative AI tools at work, with a special focus on the ethical and responsible use of generative AI in Extension operations and programming.
