While school supplies are already on store shelves and August is just around the corner, there’s still plenty of summer left in what continues to be an extraordinarily busy season for many of us. From pasture walks and fairs to fielding questions about food preservation and hosting workshops, your efforts are visible everywhere.
The Ohio State Fair continues through next week. Thank you to everyone who has contributed time and energy to making it a memorable experience for fairgoers of all ages. Hard as it is to believe, nearly 60 county and independent fairs are still ahead across the state this year. I’m looking forward to seeing some of you at the state fair or out in the counties.
Before we fully shift into “back-to-school" mode, I hope you’re also able to take some well-deserved time off to do the things you enjoy outside of work. Our focus will soon be on fall—Farm Science Review and Buckeye football come to mind. But before we get there, let’s enjoy what’s left of the long days of summer.
