Reminder: Prescription Drug Benefit Update Effective on Jan. 1

As of year-end 2022, Kroger ended its pharmacy provider agreement with Express Scripts, Inc. (ESI), the pharmacy benefit manager for Ohio State. Starting Jan. 1, any prescription previously filled at a Kroger pharmacy will not be covered under the Ohio State health plan. As of Jan. 1, ESI will include CVS pharmacies in the preferred pharmacy network tier for our plan. See hr.osu.edu/oe/prescription for the Prescription Drug Benefit Comparison Chart.
