Leadership Notes

  1. As we begin to move into the fall, you will see additional information coming out about return to offices/campuses.

COVID-19 Updates

  1. We are seeking clarity around the recent announcement by President-elect Johnson regarding the implications for our in-person programming.

  2. State-based units are primarily continuing to telework for the foreseeable future.

  3. We are already working with HR to procure kits for all of our professionals who are less than 100% telework.

  4. The university has indicated that faculty and staff will be offered the opportunity to be tested on a weekly basis.

  5. If you are planning to submit an “In-Person Programming” exemption request, please remember that the team meets once per week on Friday.

Programming Perspectives

  1. The Summer Tax School went virtual yesterday and increased their attendance from 62 persons for an in-person event in 2019 to 201 in attendance in 2020!

  2. CFAES has noted several recent programming successes regarding their response to Local Food Producers.

  3. Based on information and developments from the discussion forum, KX developed the COVID-19 Hub in less than a week.

  4. Community Development has reported several programming successes throughout COVID-19.

  5. SCP is a course for parents experiencing divorce to aid them in understanding the impact of divorce on themselves and their children, and it provides knowledge and skills for optimally navigating this critical family transition.

  6. Becoming “trauma-informed” means recognizing that people often have many different types of trauma in their lives.

  7. Several groups have joined hands to organize this solution to address access to foods that promote good health for all Cincinnati residents.
