Ohio State University Extension is the outreach arm of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University. Extension is the world's largest non-formal educational system; and we are proud that OSU Extension helps to fulfill Ohio State's land-grant mission every day!

Extension’s hallmark is programming delivered to address the needs of the local community while also addressing state, national, and global issues. Our practical educational programs combine the needs of local citizens and communities with new research and technical information. Ohioans can use the scientifically based information to better their lives, businesses and communities.

As a statewide campus, OSU Extension has a presence in all 88 Ohio counties, and continues to advance in nondiscriminatory engagement and education with rural, suburban, and urban Ohioans through experiential learning opportunities. No matter which county you visit, you can find people who have been impacted by the four major OSU Extension program areas: family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, community development, and agriculture and natural resources.
