JCEP Grants

For Current Ohio JCEP Members Only

GRANTS

Purpose: To provide incentive and expense support for current members of the Ohio Joint Council of Extension Professionals in creating or expanding creative workshop ideas, programs, research projects, or other outreach or educational opportunities. Note: For funding support for other professional development opportunities such as conference registration or continuing education, see the “scholarship” section of this website.

Funding: Maximum funding awarded will be up to $500 for applications encompassing a single program area project or up to $1,000 for cross-programmatic applications. Grants totaling up to $1,000 will be given in May and September. Only one award is permitted per individual or team per year. Preference will be given to applicants who have not received funding in the previous two years. Funds must be spent within 12 months of receiving award.  A final report summarizing program outcomes, impacts, and expenses is required within one month of completing the project.

Procedures: The Ohio JCEP Scholarships, Grants and Recognition (SGR) Grants sub-committee will review applications following the guidelines for scoring provided in the application and make a final determination of grant award recipients. Grant funds will be disbursed as expense transfers upon completion of the project upon receipt of the final expense report and a written summary (one to two pages). The summary must be submitted to the Ohio JCEP treasurer and SGR Committee chair within 30 days of the completion of the project or event.
